Kidrobot’s Nick 90’s Blind Box Mini Series is less a single-show collection than a compact tour through an entire television era. Released in September 2017, the assortment reaches from Rugrats and Hey Arnold! to Aaahh!!! Real Monsters, CatDog, and The Angry Beavers. There are 19 figures in all, making this a particularly broad Nickelodeon checklist rather than a set built around SpongeBob alone.

A cross-network-style Nicktoons roster
The checklist covers nine shows. Rugrats contributes Tommy and Chuckie; Hey Arnold! supplies Arnold and Helga; and Rocko’s Modern Life brings Rocko and Heffer. Ickis and Krumm represent Aaahh!!! Real Monsters, while Ren, Stimpy, and Powdered Toast Man come from The Ren & Stimpy Show. The remaining slots go to CatDog; Angry Beavers brothers Norbert and Daggett; Wild Thornberrys characters Eliza and Nigel; and SpongeBob, Patrick, and Sandy.
That selection is what separates the series from a straightforward character sampler. Several franchises receive a recognizable pair, but the lineup also reaches for supporting characters such as Helga, Heffer, Krumm, Nigel, and Powdered Toast Man. For collectors assembling a shelf by show, it is worth studying the odds before expecting one carton—or even one full display—to finish every pairing.
Reading the printed odds
Eight designs carry the most frequent 2/24 ratio: CatDog, Arnold, Rocko, Chuckie, Tommy, Stimpy, Krumm, and SpongeBob. Six more are printed at 1/24: Helga, Heffer, Ickis, Patrick, Sandy, and Eliza. Those fourteen characters form the comparatively accessible part of the assortment.
The difficult tier begins at 1/48 with Ren, Nigel, and Norbert. Powdered Toast Man and Daggett sit at 1/96, the lowest printed rates in the series. Put plainly, a 1/96 ratio represents one appearance per 96 blind boxes on average across the production mix, not a promise that a particular sequence of boxes will contain one. The same caution applies to 1/48 pulls.
Those published ratios support calling Powdered Toast Man and Daggett collector-described chasers, with the three 1/48 figures also firmly short-packed. Kidrobot did not need to hide their designs for the rarity to matter: the box shows the checklist and odds. This is collector shorthand based on distribution, not evidence that Kidrobot officially branded any figure as a capital-C “Chase.”
Why completing all 19 gets complicated
The character distribution creates several uneven show subsets. Stimpy is relatively common at 2/24, while Ren is 1/48 and Powdered Toast Man is 1/96. Daggett is twice as scarce on the printed ratio as his 1/48 brother Norbert, and both trail the easier 2/24 CatDog. A collector opening boxes for one franchise can therefore find part of a show’s group quickly and still face a substantial hunt for its last member.
For a loose set, verify the character’s small accessories and silhouette against the printed checklist before buying a claimed complete group. For an unopened box, remember that the outside identifies the series, not the enclosed figure. The photographed carton has bright, legible artwork and its odds panel remains readable, but it also shows light corner and edge wear. No shrink-wrap or intact factory seal is clearly visible in the available views, so condition-focused buyers should judge the photographs rather than assume mint packaging or sealed status.
A useful snapshot of Nickelodeon’s 1990s ensemble
The strongest reason to collect this release is its range. It puts headline characters beside oddball supporting picks and lets several shows share one unified Kidrobot format. The two 1/96 figures provide the genuine long-odds targets, but the larger appeal is building a mixed Nicktoons shelf where Arnold, Ickis, Nigel, Rocko, and SpongeBob can coexist in one intentionally matched series.
At $8.99 for an available blind box, the decision is straightforward: open for the surprise and accept the odds, or keep the illustrated carton as a series artifact. Completion-minded collectors should compare the cost of random pulls with confirmed loose figures, especially once only Ren, Nigel, Norbert, Powdered Toast Man, or Daggett remains.
