Kidrobot Adult Swim Series 2: Lineup, Odds, and 1/96 Chaser Guide

Kidrobot’s Adult Swim Series 2 is a time capsule from the network’s late-night lineup: one blind-box assortment joins characters from Rick and Morty, The Venture Bros., Samurai Jack, Robot Chicken, Squidbillies, FishCenter, Too Many Cooks, and the game Robot Unicorn Attack. Kidrobot announced the second vinyl mini series on October 9, 2018, giving collectors a firm release-period reference for a box that can otherwise look almost anonymous from the front.

A lineup built like an Adult Swim programming block

The package checklist contains 19 pulls, counting the mystery silhouette. Four of the most common slots belong to The Venture Bros.: Blue Morpho, Brock Samson, Dr. Venture, and The Monarch are each printed at 2/24. The Rick and Morty group is more varied, with Inebriated Rick and Morty at 2/24, Angry Rick at 1/24, Evil Morty at 1/48, and a Cromulon whose odds are deliberately printed as question marks.

The rest of the assortment rewards viewers who followed Adult Swim beyond its biggest shows. Samurai Jack is 2/24 while Aku is 1/24. Robot Chicken contributes Bitch Puddin’ at 2/24 and Cyborg Scientist at 1/24. Early Cuyler from Squidbillies is 1/24, and FishCenter’s Hamburger and Mammoth are each 1/24. Robot Unicorn Attack appears at 1/48. That mix makes the series unusually broad: it is less a single-franchise character set than a miniature snapshot of Adult Swim culture in 2018.

Reading the rare pulls correctly

The box itself says “Look for rare characters,” and the printed odds make the hierarchy clear. Smarf from Too Many Cooks, Evil Morty, and Robot Unicorn Attack are each 1/48 pulls. A second Too Many Cooks figure—the Killer—is the silhouetted 1/96 design. In practical terms, 1/96 is the most visibly short-packed disclosed ratio in the assortment: four times scarcer than a 2/24 figure and twice as scarce as a 1/48 figure.

Collectors can reasonably describe that 1/96 Killer as the series’ chaser or chase-level pull because the package documents genuine short-packing. That is collector terminology, not evidence that Kidrobot gave it an official capital-C “Chase” designation. The Cromulon is a separate uncertainty: its printed ?/?? ratio makes it a mystery-odds figure, but the package does not support inventing a numerical rarity for it.

What to check on this particular blind box

This is a single blind box, so the exterior does not reveal which figure is inside and none of the printed odds guarantees a particular pull. The product photographs do, however, give a useful condition record. The photographed carton remains upright and readable, but there is visible whitening and rubbing along several edges, light corner compression, small surface scuffs, and a slightly uneven top flap. Those details matter if the carton itself will be displayed; they matter less to an opener focused on the figure.

The front uses a restrained black-on-black character pattern with centered Kidrobot × Adult Swim branding, while the narrow panels carry the franchise logos and the two-part checklist. Before buying for a sealed-box collection, compare those photographed corners and flap edges with your own condition tolerance. The images do not establish whether the inner foil has been opened, so the safest description is an intact photographed carton rather than an unsupported claim about untouched contents.

Who this series suits

Series 2 is strongest for collectors who want crossover shelf variety rather than a uniform cast. A single pull might land on an immediately recognizable Rick or Samurai Jack, a deeper Venture Bros. character, a FishCenter mascot, or one of the deliberately odd Too Many Cooks choices. The checklist also has enough published odds to make trades intelligible: 2/24 figures form the common tier, 1/24 figures sit below them, 1/48 pulls are meaningfully scarce, and the 1/96 Killer is the documented chase-level target.
