Kidrobot’s The Simpsons 25 Years keychain series takes a different route from the usual character-figure assortment. Instead of shrinking Homer, Bart, and Lisa into another row of portraits, it turns recognizable Springfield props and emblems into small blind-box keychains. The red anniversary package asks “Which keychain will you get?” and keeps the design inside hidden, so this is a genuine mystery pull rather than a known-item window box.
A prop-based trip through Springfield
The photographed package panels show 16 possible designs. One side is especially easy to read: a Duff Beer can, Homer’s green bowling ball, Blinky the three-eyed fish, Lisa’s saxophone, the Flying Hellfish emblem, Maggie’s pacifier, Bart’s slingshot, and Homer’s pink-frosted doughnut. That group spans the family without simply reproducing their faces. It also gives episode-focused collectors several compact subthemes: food and drink, children’s accessories, and deeper Springfield references.
A second side panel adds eight more objects. Buzz Cola and a Squishee cup are clearly identifiable, while the remaining pictured designs include additional character and prop shapes, a board-like piece, and an atom-marked object. The package photography does not provide readable names for every one of those eight, so collectors should use the artwork itself—not an assumed checklist—to identify a pull. The complete visual count is useful when checking whether an opened collection is missing a design.
How this differs from the 25th Anniversary mini figures
Kidrobot also released a separate Simpsons 25th Anniversary Mini Series. Its official December 16, 2015 announcement describes 20 three-inch figures and publishes character-by-character ratios. Those odds belong to the mini-figure assortment, not these keychains. The shared red anniversary branding and Springfield theme make the two products easy to confuse, but their formats and checklists are different.
No pull ratios, secret symbol, retailer-exclusive mark, or manufacturer “Chase” designation are readable on the photographed keychain box. That means there is not enough evidence to call any keychain a chaser or short-packed pull. If a loose keychain is advertised as rare, ask for the original ratio card, case information, or another documented source rather than importing the much more dramatic odds from the companion mini-figure series.
What sealed-box collectors should inspect
The product is sold as one sealed blind box. The front carries the Kidrobot × The Simpsons branding, “WOO HOO! 25 YEARS,” and “keychains,” while another panel carries the small-parts warning and says it is not for children under three. At 23 grams in the current store data, it is a lightweight accessory collectible, not a three-inch vinyl figure.
Condition matters because the red box uses dark metallic-looking anniversary graphics that make edge rub and creases noticeable. The product photographs show some whitening at corners, light surface scuffs, and slight bowing around a top flap in certain views; plastic glare is visible in another. A sealed collector should compare the current box photos carefully and decide whether the appeal is an unopened pull or a display-grade package. For an opener, the more important checks are an intact inner keychain, clean printed details, and sound attachment hardware.
Who this series suits
This assortment works best for collectors who enjoy visual callbacks more than a standard cast lineup. Blinky, the Hellfish badge, the Squishee, and the bowling ball read as miniature references first and practical keychains second. It also pairs naturally with the 25th Anniversary figures without duplicating them: the figures supply Springfield personalities, while the keychains supply the objects and symbols around them.
